Michael  Ray Smith, 63, of Defiance, passed away on  Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his residence in Defiance.

Mike was born on May 21, 1953 to Andrew and Beatrice (Dudgeon) Smith in Miami, OK.  He graduated from Quapaw High School in 1971.  Mike served his country in the US Navy from 1975-1979 and was a life member of the Defiance AmVets Post #1991 .  He worked at the Defiance Meijer Store.
Mike loved spending time with his children and especially 'the apple of his eye' his granddaughter Indi.  He enjoyed planning family activities and capturing them in pictures; he was always adding to his collection of photos on the walls.  Mike was an avid Beatles and Rolling Stones fan and enjoyed attending concerts.

Michael  is survived by his loving children Michael Andrew Smith, Staci Marie Smith, and Kayla Jean Smith all of Defiance, one granddaughter, Indi K Smith, Defiance, brother, Andrew T. Smith of Miami, OK, sister, Pat (Toby) Tobiason of Portland, OR, brother-in-law, Kenneth Lewis of Quapaw, OK and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Beatrice Smith and sister Betty Lewis.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Defiance AmVets Post #1991, 1795 Spruce Street.
