Obituary

Michael Jeffrey Rhodes, 31, of rural Napoleon, Ohio transitioned into the arms of Jesus on July 1, 2026, following a year-long battle with leukemia. Michael was born in Overland Park, Kansas on November 19, 1994 to Jeff and Judy Rhodes.

Michael loved working outside, both at home and in the parking lot at Defiance Walmart. He chose to work part-time there in order to allow more time to care for the animals on the farm, which he did with a tender heart. His reputation for extraordinary service to customers was well-known in the community. His servant’s heart was a blessing to all who knew him.

Michael loved Jesus above all and consistently served everyone around him. He worked with the media team at The Revival Hub and loved being in the presence of the Lord. Michael was an extraordinarily humble and caring young man, who highly valued integrity. He profoundly impacted all those around him and will be deeply missed.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin, grandparents, Thomas and Jo Brubaker, and Thurman and Pauline Rhodes, and uncle, Tom Brubaker, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings, Sara, Daniel (Ariel), Hannah, and Joanna Rhodes, as well as beloved nieces and nephews, John, Jeremiah, Abigail, Isaiah, and Margaret Rhodes of Napoleon, and Nilit, Miri, and Eliana Prasuhn.

Funeral service is open to the public and planned for 2 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at The Revival Hub, 13499 OH-15, Holiday City, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, please donate blood to honor Michael. He was so grateful for the many units of blood and platelets that sustained his life as he valiantly fought to survive.
