Michael C. "Buddy" Moore, 61, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2014.
He was born on January 31, 1953 to Harvey and June (Sanders) Moore in Crane's Nest, VA. On March 26, 1977 he married Melissa "Missy" Prater, whom according to his own words, he "loved more than life itself".
After earning his degree in Business Management from Defiance College in 1975, he started a long successful business career including Co-ownership of TekMor, Inc., Bryan OH. He was a member of The Paulding Family Worship Center and taught Adult Sunday School for 35 years at various churches where each one of his students were challenged and encouraged to grow their faith in Jesus Christ. Buddy always strived for excellence as a husband, family man, mentor, business owner and was a natural leader that exhibited the utmost integrity, wisdom and courage in every situation. He touched and changed every life he encountered.
Michael is survived by his loving spouse, Melissa "Missy" Moore of Defiance, OH, his babies Martha and Mott, a brother, Monte (Judy) Moore of Holgate, OH, sisters, Angela (Keith) Nally of Defiance, OH, Kim Moore of Malinta, OH, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service will held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, beginning at 1:00 pm at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Pastor Monte Moore, officiating. An opportunity will be given at that time for family and friends to share memories. Immediately following the celebration service, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, a time of visitation will be held.
Memorials are suggested to the family which will be gifted towards local respiratory care in memory of Buddy.
He will be forever loved, missed, and appreciated by all of his family and friends. Our loss is Heaven's gain, WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!
