Michael Patrick McCoy, 57, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on June 19, 1957 to Thomas and Patricia (Purman) McCoy in Saginaw, Michigan. Michael worked at General Motors in Defiance, retiring in 2008.

Michael was a member of  Defiance Eagles Aerie #372. He was a big Detroit Lions fan, and he enjoyed golf and fishing. He was a proud grandfather and gave what he could to help his children.

Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Patricia and Robert McIntyre, son, Thomas McCoy of Toledo, daughters, Julianne McCoy, Natalie McCoy, and Patience McCoy, 5 Grandchildren, sisters, Kelly Fick, Heather Mignoni, Lisa Buchanan, and Jill Mehl, brother, Chris McCoy, half brother, Charley McCoy, Good Friend, Dennis Ullinsky, and many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Thomas E. McCoy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Father Randy Giesige officiating.
