Matthew Ian McLennan, 48, of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home in Defiance.

He was born on November 25, 1969 to Thomas McLennan and Carole (Kreilach) Weaner in Defiance. Matthew was a graduate of Napoleon High School, and he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio University. He was an outstanding artist and he loved to paint.

Matthew will be sadly missed by his mother and stepfather, Carole and John Weaner of Defiance,  father and stepmother, Thomas and Patricia McLennan of Melborne, Florida, sister, Kelly McLennan of Columbus, brother, Thomas McLennan, stepbrothers, David Weaner of Columbus, Thomas Weaner, and James (Lisa) Weaner, all of Defiance.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Judy Williams officiating.
