Mary D'nelle Snyder, 76, of Defiance, passed away on  Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on August 21, 1936 to Fred and Freeda (Hoppel) Bohlmann in Defiance, OH. Mary is survived by her husband of 34 years, Walter Snyder, whom she married on October 14, 1978. Also surviving her are her children, Cheryl (Carl) Westrick of New Bavaria, OH, Brian Baringer of Holgate, OH, step children, Bill (Sue Coil) Snyder of Hicksville, OH, Jim (Reona) Snyder of Continental, OH, Janet (Steve) Yaros of Defiance, OH, Greg (Tammy) Snyder of Defiance, OH, Mel (Kelly) Snyder of Oakwood, OH, 5 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 23 step great grandchildren, 2 step great great grandchildren, sister, Ann Grant of Defiance, OH, and a brother, James (Betty) Bohlmann of Defiance, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step children, Regina Mansfield and Cheryl Snyder, 1 step grandchild, 1 step great great grandchild and a brother, Fred Bohlmann.

She was a member of St Paul's United Methodist Church.   After graduation from Defiance High School in 1954, Mary enjoyed organizing her class reunions.  She loved spending time with her classmates throughout the years.  Mary was a loving wife and was devoted to her family.

Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jim McPeak officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
