Obituary

Mary Alice Seibenick passed away on October 7, 2012 at the Kingsbury House in Defiance. She was born Nov. 16, 1922 in Lakeside, Ohio the daughter of Caro and Mary Helen Biro. She graduated from Danbury High School and attended Notre Dame College in Cleveland, Ohio and Bowling Green University in Bowling Green. She married Paul Seibenick in 1943. She loved to cook and was especially known for her chicken paprikash and other Hungarian dishes. Surviving are four sons Roger (Joan), Ronald (Linda), Jeffery, and James. Grandchildren include Robert (Mary) Seibenick, Alison (Shawn) Davy, Brian (Rachael) Seibenick, Kyle (Kathryn) Seibenick, and Alicia Seibenick. Also surviving are four great grandsons. Preceding her in death were her husband,parents, and three brothers Carl Jr., Vincent,and Elmer. A memorial mass will beheld on Oct. 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church in Defiance with a luncheon to follow. Memorial donations may be given to St. John's Catholic Church or Southern Care Hospice in Toledo, Ohio. Condolences may be shared with the family at defiancefuneralhome.com. The Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home was entrusted with Mary's arrangements.
