Mary Jane Potter Mary Jane Potter, 71, of rural Defiance, entered into God's eternal care Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 at Paulding Hospital. She was born in Harold, KY on December 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Della (King) Stevens. She was a member of Church of Christ in Oakwood. On August 26, 1967 she married James Potter who survives. Mary Jane loved to read the bible and sing. She also liked watching mystery shows. She never knew a stranger and one never left her home hungry. She will be missed by her husband Jim. daughters: Stephanie Potter and Jessica Potter both of Defiance. sisters: Lizzie McKinney, Maggie Howell both of Harold, KY brother: Leonard Stevens of Harold, KY. half sister: Georgia Stevens. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters: Matthew Stevens, Irvin Stevens, Clell Stevens, Jerry Stevens, Ezra L. Stevens, Joe McKinney, Brooksie Ramey, Effie Tackett, Zadie Stevens, Vadie Stevens, Olmadell Stevens, Cecil Stevens, R. Willie Stevens, Azzie Stevens, Louis Stevens, Roy Stevens and Alice Kendrick. Service at the Church of Christ, Oakwood, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2nd, with Minister Lonnie Lambert officiating. Visitation is Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Church of Christ at 12983 Rd. 191, Oakwood, OH 45873 Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery.
