Mary M. Myers, 67, of Defiance, passed away peacefully with her two sons and best friend by her side on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mary was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 26, 1959 to Donald and Betty (Amonette) Hinman. She was a 1978 graduate of Bowsher High School and proudly earned her Associate's Degree. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #2094, AmVets #1991, and Eagles #372, all of Defiance. She worked for Isaac's/Sim's Metal Management for over 20 years. Mary will be forever missed and forever remembered for all her kindness, her big smile, her laughter, and her loyalty to her friends and family.

Mary is survived by her loving sons, Jeremy Myers and Justin Myers of Defiance, her brother Charles Hinman of Toledo, sister Donna Schlapman of Conyers, GA, and best friends, Gayle Taylor and Joe Monroe of Defiance.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
