Mary E. McKenzie Mary Elizabeth "Gibler" McKenzie, 65, of Defiance, OH passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Laurels of Defiance. Mary was born September 29, 1948 to the late George and Helen (Yenser) Gibler in Monroe, MI. She graduated from Tinora High School in 1966. Served in the Navy and is a Vietnam Veteran. She worked most of her life as a Home Health Aid. Mary was a loving mother of three: daughter Amy Oswalt; son Joe (Heather) McKenzie both of Defiance and son Jeff McKenzie of Denver, CO. four grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, Emalee and Jayden, two nieces: Leslie Gibler and Misty (Tim) Brehm, great nephew: Gabriel Brehm. She is also survived by a brother Lewis (Sandy) Gibler of Defiance, a sister Arnita Voglesong and stepmother Lois Gibler both of Fostoria, OH. She was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Gibler and a half brother George Gibler. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Thursday, November 7, in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Services are 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Lawson-Roessner with Pastor Ray Gaffney officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 Saturday, Nov. 9, at Evansport Cemetery with VFW Post # 3360 conducting honorary military graveside rites. Condolences may be shared at www.defiancefuneralhome.com.
