Mary T. May, 98, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on March 2, 1916 to William and Mary (Gulosh) Kash in Antwerp, Ohio. On December 15, 1937 she married Robert May, who proceeded her in death on February 23, 1988.

Mary was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Defiance. She was active in the Christian Mothers Group and the Altar Rosary Society. Mary was retired from General Motors, and she worked for A-1 Furniture in Defiance. She was a former member of the Moose,  Local UAW #211, and the Turkey Trotter's Square Dance Cub.

Mary is survived by her son, Thomas (Rhoda) May of Wauseon, Ohio, daughter, Barbara Schultz of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, 5 Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchildren, 2 Step Great-grandchildren, and 2 Step Great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Kash, husband, Robert May, brother, William Kash, and sister, Elizabeth Whitney.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 from 9:00  to 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Todd Dominique officiating.  Burial will take place at Monroe Cemetery, Putnam County.
