Mary A. Johnston, age 90 of Defiance, passed away on  April 12, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Defiance on July 7, 1931 to the late Nelson and Dorothy (Link) Demland. Mary married Lewis R. Johnston on October 27, 1950. They were married for 69 years until his death in 2020.

Mary is survived by her son, David L. (Denise) Johnston of Sylvania, OH. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Roger Demland, and her sister Fern Flory.

To honor Mary's wishes there will not be any visitation or services. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
