Mary Catherine Froelich Mary Catherine Froelich, 95, of Defiance, passed Friday, April 19th, 2013 at Brookview Healthcare Center. She was born in Henry County, Ohio on October 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen (Zoll) Limpach. Mary was a member of St. John Catholic Church, past member of the Christian Mothers and Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. A graduate of Holgate High School. She was an avid bargain hunter, played the organ and volunteered as a voting poll worker. She loved to play bingo and cards and won more than her fair share. Mary Catherine married Donald Froelich Oct. 28, 1939 and Don died Oct. 19, 1990. She will be missed by daughters: Mary Rose Dell of Sherwood, Karen (Christopher) Graham of Fayetteville, Ga. sons: Charles (Sophia) Froelich of Belleville, Mich., Raymond Froelich of Luckey, Oh., Roger Froelich of Defiance. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Don, a daughter Ruth, brothers Leonard Limpach, Gilbert Limpach and Chester who died in infancy, and a granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call 2-8 Wednesday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home where there will be a rosary services at 7:00 Wednesday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
