Mary Davis Reeves, 92, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Great Lakes Hospice, Defiance.

She was born on May 10, 1925 to Bert and Amy (Whitaker) Davis in Defiance. On August 2, 1947 she married John Koehler Reeves, who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Defiance. Mary was a graduate of Defiance High School in 1943 and a graduate of  Western College for Women, Oxford, Ohio in 1947. She subsequently graduated with her master's degree from St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne, IN. She served for many years as the Superintendent of Good Samaritan School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her diverse passions included her family activities, life-long learning, Lakeland terriers, and racing sailboats.

Mary will be sadly missed by her son, Dr. J.D. (Patty) Reeves, and daughter, Amy (Michael) Struble, all of Defiance, grandchildren: Michelle (David) Bailey, Matt (Meg) Struble, Natalya Borisovna-Reeves, Olivya Reeves, Adam (Katrina) Miller, Sarah Miller-Reeves, and Christopher Reeves, and great-grandchildren: Zachary, Lauren, Katie, and Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Robert W. Davis.

A Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, Defiance, with Rev. Lynnette Bova officiating.
