Mary Ann  D. Iliff, 90, of  Defiance, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at The Lutheran Home in Napoleon, Ohio. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Henry County, the daughter of Ferdinand and Mathilda (Badenhop) Norden. In 1963 she married Nelson A. Iliff, who died in  2000. She was an assistant cashier at the Community Bank in Napoleon, and later was employed at the Defiance County Clerk of Courts in Defiance. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance, was active in the Women's Service Guild and Women of ELCA, and she helped serve Defiance Rotary Club luncheons. She was a former Sunday School teacher, a choir member, and was also a member of Filling Memorial Home of Mercy Women's Guild and Defiance College Women's Commission. Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her family; stepson David W. (Rita) Iliff of Kalida, three sisters;  Florence Behnfeldt of Defiance, Margarete Lanzer of Napoleon, and Gladys Dachenhaus of Paulding, a brother Daniel (Toni) Norden of Ravenna, Ohio, two sisters-in-law; Joan Norden of Napoleon and Wanda Norden of Malinta, two step-grandchildren; David N. Iliff of Defiance and Sarah (Michael) Boyes of Louisville, Kentucky, and 23 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Mathilda Norden, brothers Leonard C. Norden and Rev. Norman Norden, and niece, Debbie Lanzer. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on  Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on  Thursday,  December 17, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Defiance, with  Rev. David Brobston officiating.  Burial will be at 2 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Napoleon Township.
