Mary Jane  Schroeder, 64, of Sherwood, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at her home in Sherwood.

She was born on October 8, 1951 to Albert and Dorothy (Gutman) Coressel in Defiance. Mary Jane was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. She retired from the former Bryan Custom Plastics in Bryan. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and crafting, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Jane is survived by her mother, Dorothy Coressel of Defiance, son, Jeremy (Katie) Schroeder, three grandsons, Oakley, Graham, and Canon, and a grandchild on the way, brothers, Albert Michael Coressel, Steve Coressel, Kenny Coressel, and Tom Coressel, and sisters, Nancy Gray and Barb Barta, all of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her  father, Albert Coressel, and brother, Donny Coressel.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mary Catholic Church, or Ronald McDonald House.
