Mary K. Carrroll Mrs. Mary K. Carrroll, 84, of Defiance, OH, passed away Monday, August 12th, 2013 at St. Vincent Heart and Vascular Center in Toledo. She was born in Oakwood, OH on January 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William and Goldie (Blaine) Thrasher. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Twin Rivers Gardens Club MNO card club, a church volunteer, food pantry volunteer and active in visiting the sick. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in her flower beds and roses. Mary married Earl W. Carroll on Aug. 2, 1947 and Earl died July 7, 1995. She will be missed by her daughters: Catherine Morris of Crown Pointe, Indiana, Barbara (Tom) Kajfasz of Defiance, Laura (Russell) Wagner of Severn, MD. son: Thomas (Cheryll) Carroll of Pembervile, OH. sister: Fay Manon of Defiance. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Hope Carroll, Chris Carroll, Jason Carroll, Jessica Kasfasz, Andrew Kajfasz, Allison Morris, Albert Morris, Caitie Wagner, Elisabeth Vick and Sammy Carroll, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Preceded in death by a son: E. Charles "Charlie" Carroll, her husband Earl, brothers: Don "Pat," Ray, Russell and Dennis Thrasher, sisters: Evelyn Haster, Gladys Burkhart, Bess Parish and Opal Pessefall. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16th, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 2-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance with a. 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service Thursday. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
