Mary Diane Butler, 64, of Defiance, passed away on  Friday, September 28, 2012 at CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on May 30, 1948 to Henry and Dollie Lucille (Meyers) Rothenberger in Napoleon, OH. She married Buffard "Boots" Butler on June 12, 1966 and he passsd away on June 24, 2004.  Mary is survived by her sons, Henry Butler, Defiance, OH, Buffard (Tammy) Butler of Napoleon, OH, Steve (Brandi) Butler of Portland, OR,  grandchildren, Kyle Butler, Ross Butler, Kara Butler, Cody Butler, Landyn Butler, brothers, Haskel (Loretta) Dailey of Lawton, KY, Vernon Dailey of Lawton, KY,  Robert Rothenberger of Adrian, MI,  Larry (Frankie) Hall of Defiance, OH, Billy Joe (Edwina) Rothenberger of Defiance, OH, sisters, Kathy (Ron) Bickel of Engelwood, FL, Becky Miles of Defiance, OH, Joann (Tommy) Johnson of Hicksville, OH, and Henrietta (Tim) Werner of Hudson, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Hazel Rothenberger, brother, Michael Rothenberger, and sister, Donna Pumphrey.

Mary was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, the AMVETS and the Moose Lodge, all of Defiance.  She worked at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon retiring after 30 plus years, enjoyed meeting friends at Frisch's Big Boy and going to casinos.  She also enjoyed karaoke, dancing, going to the theater and musicals.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 02, 2012 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Balke officiating.
