Mary B. "Pup" Brubaker, age 61 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 in Defiance. She was born on August 8, 1960 to the late Leland and Marian (Knepley) Brubaker in Napoleon, Ohio. Mary loved tending to her gardens and was a former President of Defiance Garden Club. She enjoyed watching birds and going to the beach. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Mary is survived by her son, Cody Crow of Gibson City, IL, her sisters, Linda (Ron) Ferner of Napoleon, OH, Sue Kistner of Defiance, and Judy (Marv) Austermiller of Malinta, OH, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandmother, Pearl Knepley. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Janet Strickland officiating. Memorials are suggested to ProMedica Hospice, or American Cancer Society.
