Marvin Z Boyd, 88, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

He was born on September 19, 1924 and was the son of John and Dora Belle (Karnes) Boyd in Defiance, OH.  On April 13, 1946 he married Margaret Gebhart and she preceded him in death on May 17, 2010.

He is survived by his two daughters, Suzy (Paul) Wood of Maumee,  Pamela (Thomas) Killion of Toledo, his two sons, Tod (Jeanne) Boyd, Robert (Amy) Boyd all of Defiance, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, his son, Thomas Boyd, and three brothers, Glenn, Vic & Gerald Boyd.

Marvin  was a tool and die maker for the Zeller Corporation, a member of the VFW Post #3360 and Past President of the Defiance Camera/Photography Club.  He also enjoyed country music and painting .

Funeral service for Marvin will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:30pm at the Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance with Rev. Tim Yazel officiating.

Family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home starting at 12:30pm and will continue until the time of service at 2:30pm.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance .
