Martha B Cummins, 96, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, September 9, 2013 at The Laurels of Defiance.

She was born on December 14, 1916 to Clarence and Ann (Ralston) Cummins in Defiance.

Martha was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where she formerly served as church secretary and was a member of the Altar Guild and the choir.  She attended Defiance College, was May Queen and was a member of the Golden Alumni.  Martha was also a member of the Defiance Co Historical & Genealogical Societies.

She is survived by her cousins, Ted (Joan) Paxton, Georgene Cummins all of Defiance and Marcus (Naomi) Cummins of California.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clarence R Cummins.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Grace Episcopal Church, Defiance with Rev. Don Leckrone officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
