Martha E. Brinkman, 93, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at the Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 12, 1021, the only child, to Earl and Mabel (Stock) Benner in Tiffin township. She was married to Clayton Durham, who passed in 1942. In 1943 she married Ralph W. (Stormy) Brinkman, who preceded her in death in 1982.
Martha was lifelong member of the Defiance Eagles Auxiliary and a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed NASCAR. But most of all she loved her family and was a great mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving family, her son, Ralph W. (Lil) Brinkman Jr., of Harlan, IN. daughters; Nancy (Bill) Shipman of Defiance, Janice (Scott) Moser of Defiance, Marilyn (Roger) Reineke of Cincinnati.
Grandchildren; Raymond (Rachelle) Durham of Paulding and Rodney (Barb) Durham of Paulding, Shelly Lindsay of Defiance, Jenni (John) Moser of Defiance, Stephen Brinkman of Chicago, IL., Jay (Amy) Reineke of Cincinnati, Brooke (Jason) Huck of Cincinnati, Matt Brinkman of Harlan, IN,, Lisa (Matt) Swogger of Kendallville, IN., and Becky Weiker of Bryan,
15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Son in law Nick Diamond of Defiance and niece Mary Ann (Craig) Frisinger of Defiance.
She was preceded in death by her first born, Delbert E. Durham and her last born, Debra J. Diamond.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Dinnen officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 Tuesday (today) and 10 to 11 Wednesday before the services at Lawson-Roessner.
Burial will be in Evansport Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the Ayersville United Methodist Church.
