Marlene Sue Morris-Mercer, age 64 of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was born in Defiance, Ohio on November 12, 1961 to the late Warren and Ann (Fry) Morris. Marlene was a 1980 graduate of Defiance High School and worked for several years as an Ophthalmologist Assistant in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She loved NASCAR and auto sports, spending time with her friends, and celebrating the holidays with her family.

Marlene is survived by her brother, Keith Morris of Swanton, OH, several cousins, her beloved cats Henry and Louie, and her rabbit Bob. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
