Mark A. Mock, 52, of Ney, passed away on  Thursday, August 21, 2014, surrounded by his family, at his residence.

He was born on June 12, 1962 to James and Nancy (Fockler) Mock in Defiance.  On February 22, 1997 he married Loretta Teegardin.

Mark was a self-employed auto mechanic.   He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, racing and camping..

Mark is survived by his wife, Loretta, children, James Mock of Defiance, Jason (Kelly) McCoy of Defiance, Amanda (Jeremy) Garcia of Holgate,  grandchildren, Alexis & Avery Kurtz of Holgate,  Mariyah & Camden Garcia of Holgate, mother, Nancy, of Defiance,  siblings, Steve (Tina) Mock of Defiance, Jeff (Deb) Mock of Ayersville, and Theresa Mock Thiel of Defiance.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Carl & Evelyn Fockler and Jim & Edna Mock.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Samuel Mock officiating.   Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

The family request memorials be directed to the family or to CHP Defiance Hospice.
