Mark David Foldvary, 29, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 after a lengthy illness at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio.

He was born on January 18, 1988 to Dr. Robert and Marilyn (Justinger) Foldvary in Defiance. He was a graduate of Defiance High School, and was employed by Defiance Wash & Fill and Cooper Farms, where he had made very good friends.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and especially romping with his sons, Ace and Blake. Mark was a huge Miami Dolphins fan.

In addition to his parents, Mark will be greatly missed by his brother Matthew, grandmother, Rosemary Justinger of Defiance, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alex, and grandparents, Virgil Justinger, and Alex and Elizabeth Foldvary.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2017 at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.

Mark's family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the doctors, nurses, and staff of St. Luke's, and also to Northwest Hospice, for their comfort and care.
