Marjorie M Thomas, 86, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, August 20, 2012 in the Henry County Hospital, Napoleon, OH.

She was born on May 5, 1926 to Otto and Cleora (Ort) Beindorf in Defiance, OH.   She married John E. Thomas on December 12, 1947 and he passed away on November 21, 1993.   Surviving her are a  daughter, Patricia (Daniel) Stevenson of Sherwood, OH, sons, David (Peggy) Thomas of Delta, OH, Daniel (Francine) Thomas of Southern Pines, NC, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, many step great grandchildren, a brother, Otto (Fern) Beindorf of Defiance, OH, and a brother-in-law, Robert Thomas of Defiance, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Mary Thomas in infancy and brothers, Robert, Harold &, Roger Beindorf.  Marjorie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  She volunteered at the Defiance Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop and had previously owned and operated the former Skylark Motel near Defiance.    Visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 from  2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home & Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating.

Entombment will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.  Memorials are suggested to the Zion Lutheran Church.
