Obituary

Marjorie M. "Marge" Jackman, 90, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2012, at CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born May 4, 1922, in Paulding County, Ohio, to Isadore and Elva Breckler. She married Alfred Jackman in 1941 and he passed away in 1997.

Surviving her are daughters, Jane Bedwell of Fort Myers, Florida, Linda Ayers (Richard) of Sherwood, and Rita Gaston (Richard), Defiance; sons, Roger (Ellen) Jackman, Robert (Jean) Jackman and Gary (Cheryl) Jackman, all of Defiance; son-in-law, David Lloyd, Montpelier; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Jackman, Defiance; sister, Betty Varner; brother, Edward Breckler; and 91 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Virginia Lloyd; son, John Jackman; son-in-law, Grover Bedwell; daughter-in-law, Joyce Parker Jackman; brothers, Robert, Harold and David Breckler; and two brothers in infancy.

Marjorie was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church. She was employed at General Motors for 25 years. She loved and enjoyed her large family, gardening, crocheting, and watching baseball and NASCAR.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at Zion's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28 from 2-8 p.m. at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Memorials may be given to Zion's Lutheran Church or CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
