Marilyn J. Houck, age 91, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 1, 2023 in her home in Napoleon, Ohio. She was born on February 26, 1932 and was the chosen daughter of George and Caroline (Groll) Rohrs. Marilyn attended Florida School. On June 4, 1953 she married the love of her life, Lawrence "Sid" Houck, who preceded her in death on January 5, 2021.

Marilyn was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Defiance. She worked at Clevite and retired in 1993 after 40 years of dedicated service. In her leisure time she enjoyed working in the garden and raising animals on the farm with Sid. She also loved arts and crafts projects, cooking, ceramics and traveling. She will be missed by many family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Connie Lynn Ruskey of Florida, OH and her son, David Houck of Napoleon, OH. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Guilliam.

All visitation and services for Marilyn will be private. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
