Marilyn R. Burkhart Marilyn R. Burkhart, 75, of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, November 12th, 2016 peacefully at at her home. She was born in Lima, OH on September 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Russel and Agnes (Bensman) Critten. She married Floyd E. Burkhart on Aug. 16, 1958 and he died Feb. 14, 2011. Marilyn had worked at the Defiance Crescent News, Service Master and the Leipsic Cannery. She vacationed in Florida and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Marilyn will be missed by her daughter: Lisa Burkhart of Defiance, sons: Terry (Connie) Burkhart of Defiance, Mike Burkhart of Defiance, sisters: Susan Beard of Reading, MI, Rita Shew of Deshler brothers: Charles Critten of Leipsic, Earl Critten of Paulding She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas Critten and Larry Critten, three sisters: Agnes who died in infancy, Delores Critten and Donna Powell. Her Memorial Service will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16th, with Deacon Don Meyer officiating. Visitation is Tuesday 2-6 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner.
