Marie Louise Babcock, 69, of Defiance, passed away on March 5, 2016 at the Gardens of Paulding. She was born on March 30, 1946 to William and Myrtle (Miller) Relyea Sr. in Defiance, OH. Marie worked as a Home maker.  In 1987 she married Robert  Babcock Sr, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed and loved her family, fishing, crocheting, and giving pony rides at the Defiance County Fair with her husband. Marie is survived by her sons, Steven (Sierra) Babcock, Billy "Indian Joe" Retcher, Patrick L.C. Retcher, William (Lisa) Turnbull, Thomas (Lori) Turnbull, and Robert Babcock, Jr., daughters, Brenda Lee (Gilbert) Bender, Christy (Matthew) Sipes, and Lori Ann (Robert) Hawkins, 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brothers, David (Sharon) Bidlack, Michael Relyea, Charles Relyea, Dennis Relyea, William Relyea, Jr., and Joseph Relyea, sisters, Becky Relyea,  Deborah Brown, Darleen  Kipp, Carol (Kevin) Goldsbury, Elizabeth (Andrew) Yocklin, and Lisa Relyea. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 10th at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance at 11:00 am.  Friends may call from 9-11 am on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Junction Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family
