Marianne Nickels Marianne Nickels, 71, formerly of Defiance, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on December 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Uffe and Grethe (Hansen) Andersen. She was the wife of John E. Nickels whom she married May 8, 1968. Marianne was previously employed as an administrative assistant at D.A.S.H. (Defiance Area Society for the Handicapped). She is survived by her husband John and daughter: Christine Yeargin both of Murfreesboro, TN Visitation will be from 3 - 7 p.m. Monday, August 29 at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, Ohio 43512. Marianne's Memorial Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Lawson-Roessner. Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
