Marianna E. Corkwell, age 87 of Hicksville, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on December 29, 1931 to the late John and Anna Larva in Knox, Indiana. In 1953 she married James Corkwell, who preceded her in death in 2012. Marianna was a member of Pathway Christian Church in Harlan, Indiana. She worked for several years at Walgreens until her retirement. She loved flowers, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Marianna will be sadly missed by her adopted daughter, Elizabeth (Dayton) Stantz of Hicksville, Ohio, her niece, Deb Shannon, nephew, John Larva Jr. of Knox, Indiana, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Corkwell, and two brothers. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
