Mrs. Maria A. Martinez, age 76, of Defiance, Oh , passed away at 9:55 A:M , Sunday, April 20th, 2008 at Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Lucas County, Oh. She was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Gabino and Rosa (Perez) Arelano She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Defiance, Oh. She was the widow of Faustino Martinez who died May 22, 1999. Surviving are Daughter(s): Diana (Jeffrey) Woods of Jacksonville, Fl. , Mary (Roger) Hamrick of Bryan, Oh. , Dora Lee of Defiance Son(s): Justino (Irma) Martinez of Oklahoma City, Ok., Juan (Janetta) Martinez of Defiance, Jamie (Kristy) Martinez of Oklahoma Ciry, Ok., Tim Martinez of Defiance, Oh Sister(s): Rose (Bill) Adkins of Tennessee, Victoria Perales of Defiance Brother(s): Nash (Karen) Arellano of Ft. Wayne, Ind. , Mario (Amy) Arellano of Mississippi She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, a son Frankie, brothers- Tino, Juan and Gabino Jr., sisters- Margaret Gomez and Marie Bradford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, Oh. at 11:00 A:M on Wednesday, April 23rd, with Father Todd Dominique officiating.
