Maria  Benavidez, 87, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on July 15, 1925 in Mexico.  On October 31, 1955 she married Andres Benavidez.

Maria loved and enjoyed her family.  She loved to cook.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Minerva Rodriguez of Houston, TX,  Linda (Bobby) Pruitt of Defiance, son, Adam Benavidez of Grand Rapids, MI., 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andres on November 11, 1974 and a son, Albert Benavidez.
