Margery Louise Weber, 90, formerly of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, April 2, 2026 at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, OH. She was born on March 25, 1936 to Lauren and Mary (Douglas) Ross in Lorain OH. On August 22, 1959 she married John C. "Tyke" Weber, whom survives. Margery was a 1954 graduate of Defiance High School and received her Registered Nurse Certification from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in 1957. After nurses training, she worked for Drs. Jim and John Cameron moving on to the Defiance Clinic.  Once her children were in school, she worked as a Medical Analyst for Peer Review Systems until 1993 before joining Bryan Hospital until her retirement in 2002.  Margery enjoyed bowling in younger years, knitting, embroidery, cross-stitching, reading, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.  She was a faithful and active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society, the liturgy committee, and headed the decorating committee.  In addition, Margery was an eucharistic minister, often leading communion services. Margery is survived by her loving spouse of 66 years, John C. "Tyke" Weber, her children, Mary Ann (Fritz) Baumgartner, John (Rebecca Kubacki) Weber, Tom (Sam Peterson) Weber, Peg (Bruce) Lilley, Joe (Denise) Weber, and Roberto (Josephina) Quintana, 12 Grandchildren, and a Great Grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents Lauren and Mary Ross, and her siblings, Jane Wiencek, Charles Ross, Carol Hall, and Robert Ross. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio, with a Vigil Service being held at 6:00 pm officiated by Fr. Ed Schleter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. John Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio.  There will be 1 hour of visitation prior to the Mass at the church.

Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St Mary's Catholic Church – Furniture Bank or Food Pantry
