Margaret G. Flores, age 94 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday May 11, 2024 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on November 4, 1929 to Daniel and Beatrice (Zapien) Godoy in Texarkana, Texas. On November 4, 1961 she married Abraham Flores, who preceded her in death on January 17, 2024.  Margaret was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed shopping, especially when there were bargains to find. Margaret is survived by her children, Lucio Flores of Defiance, Trinidad (Melanie) Flores of Alpharetta, GA, and Abigail Flores-Hall of Cookeville, TN. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Natasha Flores of Defiance, Brandi Cline of Cookeville, TN, Kayla Blake of Buffalo Valley, TN, Sebastian Flores and Trinidad Flores, Jr. both of Alpharetta, GA,  Alexis and  Leigha Flores both of Defiance and Lucio Flores, Jr. of Iowa. Margaret was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren; Jayden, Naudiya, Amelia, Joshua Jr., Kai, Abigail, Leland, Bentley, Renesmay; Alexus, Michael, Zoey, Nona, Relic and Millie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-granddaughter Myla, her sisters, Lena Godoy, Gloria Bustos and Antonia Godoy, and her brother Roy Godoy. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the St. Joseph Annex at St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating.  Margaret will be laid to rest at Riverview Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
