Madonna R. Breece, 76, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center, Defiance, OH. She was born on June 24, 1945 to Joseph and Madonna (Clemens) Doody in Defiance, OH.  On July 28, 1979 she married Larry Breece, who survives. Madonna worked at GM as a communications editor, retiring in 1996, and she was a volunteer at Friends of Felines Rescue Center, Defiance OH. Madonna is survived by her loving spouse Larry Breece of Defiance, OH, two sons, James Wink of Fredericksburg, VA, and Joseph Wink of Pierce City, MO, a daughter, Laura Jean Friedrich of Ft. Wayne, IN, and a granddaughter, Kristin Burdine. She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Ronald Doody, and Joseph Doody, two sisters, Bonnie  Wareham, and Sharon Rhamy, and a granddaughter, Tonya Friedrich. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, 1:00 pm at the Riverside Cemetery, Defiance, Ohio, with Deacon Jeff Mayer, officiating. Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance OH, was honored to assist the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center.
