Madeline Barnett, 92, of Defiance, Ohio went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 19th, 2015. Madeline was born March 31, 1923 in Allen County, Ohio,  the daughter of Wilma (Mowery) and Carl L. Clum of Ada Ohio. She is survived by her daughter Lynda (Rod) Brown ,Defiance, Ohio  and her daughter-in-law Twana Barnett, Vero Beach ,Florida. She is survived by her 4 grandchildren, Joseph (Vicki) Ferrall of Phoenix, AZ, James (Anna) Ferrall of Kalamazoo, MI, Sarah (Kyle) Doutrich of Vero Beach, Florida, and Mandy (John) Adkins of Defiance. She had 8 great grandchildren. Sean Fryberger, Cody Fryberger, Noah Ferrall, Jemma Ferrall, Ciarra Rogers, Cameron Ferrall, Kara Ferrall, and Arabella Doutrich, all of whom she loved dearly. She has two sisters Marcine Cooney from Ada, Ohio and Doris Micheli, from Zanesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Oscar Robert (Bob) Barnett and their son Gary Robert Barnett, and her brother Herbert Clum of Flat Rock, Michigan. Madeline loved life and especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. Her family enjoyed many happy years with her and Bob in Venice, Florida. She loved to walk the beach, pick up shark's teeth and play cards with family and friends. Madeline returned to Defiance in 2001 and enjoyed visits with her family, being with friends, playing cards, tending to her flowers and watching the humming birds outside her window. We will never forget her love of God, her beautiful spirit, her kind words and loving smile. Visitation will be at the Schaffer Funeral Home, 529 Jefferson Ave, Defiance, OH, on Tuesday July 21st from 4-8 with the funeral service on Wednesday July 22nd, at 1:30 pm. Visitation will commence 1 hour before the service. In Lieu of flowers she requested memorial donations be made to the the church founded by her father, Rev. Carl Clum: Grace Gospel Church at 321 North Gilbert Street, Ada, Ohio.
