Lyn T. Leitner passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital.

Lyn was born June 12, 1947 to Huynh Thi Canh and Nguyen Chau Ngoc in Phong Heip Cantho, Vietnam. On August 23, 1973 Lyn married Michael A. Leitner. Lyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, singing, shopping, and traveling. Above all of her other hobbies she treasured her grandchildren. Lyn continually planned trips to Cedar Point, the zoo, and several other family vacations. She was constantly caught bragging about her grandchildren, and all their accomplishments. Lyn was so genuinely proud of her family. She was a devoted wife and mother, and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Lyn is survived by her husband, Michael A. Leitner; son, Peter (Angela) Leitner Sr.; grandchildren Alycia, Chelsea (Rex), Devin, Peter Jr., Brenden, and Jordan; sister Lein (Tim) and brother Liem; Sister in law Anna (Jim) Hemeyer and Kathy (Jim) Chapman, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Lyn was preceded in death by her son, Michael N. Leitner.

Visitation will be held at Schaffer Funeral Home on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 9am until 11am. The service will then take place at 11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donors may contribute to the charity of their choice.
