Lucille Marie Erbskorn, age 96 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born on October 27, 1926 to the late George and Annette (Nagel) Schliesser in Defiance, Ohio. In 1948 she married Delbert Erbskorn, who preceded her in death in 1993. Lucille was a devoted wife to her husband, and a loving mother to her son and grandchildren. She was a Cub Scout Den Leader when her son, Gene, was a Cub Scout. Lucille treasured her time spent with her family. Lucille is survived by her son, Eugene "Gene" (Amy) Erbskorn of Virginia Beach, VA, her grandchildren, Jason and Lea Erbskorn, great-granddaughters, Eleanor and Adalyn Erbskorn, and her brother, George Schliesser, Jr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Erbskorn, brother, Dorrence Schliesser, and sisters, Lois Weisenburger and Helen Goodwin. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. David Brobston officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
