Lucile I. Plassman Lucile I. Plassman, 85, of Defiance, Oh , passed away Thursday, July 15th, 2010 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Defiance, on September 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Marjorie (Maxwell) Schlosser. On Sept. 26, 1948, she married Carleton Plassman, who survives. Lucile had worked as the secretary to the Dean of Students at Defiance College, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Alpha Circle-Ohio Child Conservation League for over 50 years and was a judge of her voting precinct, Defiance County Humane Society, Defiance College Women's Commission, Defiance County Republican Women, Defiance Area YMCA, and Defiance Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 1942 graduate of Defiance High School. Besides her beloved husband Carleton, of 61 years surviving are Daughters: Pamela (Don) Bashor of Wauseon, Oh, Sandra (Richard) Wellman of Defiance Sons: Kevin Plassman of Defiance, Mark (Karen) Plassman of St. Petersburg, Fl., Nathan (Sue) Plassman of Ft. Wayne, In. Sister: Marjorie Wakeman of Columbia, Missouri She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother: Robert Schlosser and her parents. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance, at 11:00 A:M on Monday, July 19th, with Donald Bashor officiating. Friends are invited to call Sunday evening from 6-8 at Lawson-Roessner .
