Loy Hopper, 84, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Laurels of Defiance.

He was born on  November 28, 1930 to Sam and Mandy Hopper in Warren, Arkansas. He worked for 33 1/2 years for General Motors.

Loy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Willie Hopper, two daughters, Patricia Stephens and Beverly (Terry) Baldwin, one son, Mark (Becky) Hopper, 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held  from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 19, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.

Memorials are suggested to Heritage Baptist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
