Lori Beth Murphy, 56, of Defiance, passed away on  October 6, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on July 2, 1958 to James and Frances (Diamond) Murphy in Defiance, OH.

She was a member of Ayersville United Methodist Church. Lori was business manager at The Laurel's in Defiance for over 30 years, retiring in 2013.  She was a board member of The Fort Defiance Humane Society.

Lori is survived by her sister, Cinda Murphy of Defiance, nieces, Krista Gray,  Madison Ardlen, and Teresa Gray, and nephew, Donald Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Terry Ardlen.

Visitation will be held  from 2 to 6 pm, Thursday, October 9, 2014,at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held  at 11 am Friday, October 10, 2014 at Ayersville United Methodist Church with Rev. Clarence Dinnen officiating.  Burial will follow in Ayersville Cemetery.

The family request memorials be directed to the family, or to Fort Defiance Humane Society.
