Loretta Patricia Mansfield, 66, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday,  August 19, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio. She was born on June 16, 1949 to Riley and Jeanette (Helbert) Mays in Wise, Virginia. In 1967 she married Roland "Bo" Mansfield, who proceeded her in death in 2014. Loretta loved Elvis, collecting dolls, and playing cards. After one year and five months apart, Bo and Loretta are reunited again, fishing on the Maumee. Loretta is survived by her mother, Jeanette Mays, of Defiance, sons, Brian Mansfield and Roland Mansfield II, both of Defiance, grandchildren, Jazlyn and Roland Mansfield, III, Siblings, Raymond  Mays of Defiance, Patsy (John) Carlston of Liberty Center, Emmaline Mays of Defiance, Linda (Richard) Roddy of Defiance, Robert (Deb) Mays of Virginia, Lois (Thomas) Perrin of Virginia, Brenda VanStreater of Defiance, Earl Mays of North Carolina, Roy (Tina) Mays of Michigan, Sam (Giovana) Mays of Defiance, Margaret Williams of Defiance, and three English Bulldogs: Layla, Stich, and Coby. She was preceded in death by her father, Riley Mays, husband Roland "Bo" Mansfield, sons, Charles Blaine Mansfield, and Riley Milburn Mansfield, sisters, Georgia Lee and Frampton Eichling. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
