Loretta K. Jones, age 83 of Cecil, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 28, 1940 to the late Arthur and Etta (Tweedale) Terwilliger in Good Hope, Illinois. On February 25, 2000 she married Lonnie D. Jones who survives. Loretta was a member of American Legion in Grand Rapids, Ohio. She treasured her time spent at home for several years raising her family. She enjoyed gardening, mowing, planting flowers, playing Yahtzee, shopping with her daughter, going to Put-In-Bay, and traveling. She loved spending time with her family. Loretta is survived by her loving husband Lonnie Jones of Cecil, her daughter, Cheryl (Jeff) Sheets of  Pleasant Bend, OH, and her sons, Lyle (Joanne) Donnelly of Archbold, OH and Ron (Kim) Donnelly of Wauseon, OH. She also leaves behind four brothers, Art Terwilliger, Jr., Eldon Terwilliger and Richard Terwilliger, all of Florida, and James "Jim" Terwilliger of Texas, her sister, Bonnie (Dennis) Anderson of Bowling Green, OH, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Kenny, Melvin, Virgil, and Gary Terwilliger, and sisters, Linda Bleschke and Mildred Terwilliger. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the funeral home, with Pastor Joy Hester officiating. One hour of additional visitation will be held before the service.
