Lola A. Boff
Lola A. Boff, 79, of Defiance, passed away Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born in Defiance, Ohio on December 8, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Jessie (Graham) Koenn.
Lola was married to Bob Boff for 47 years. Bob and Lola's house was built with lumber harvested from their own woods. Sunday afternoons were spent with their six kids playing pinochle and making homemade ice cream. Lola loved Jesus and her friends at Marysdale Church. Lola's husband Bob, her family, her kids, her grand kids, her parents, her great grand kids and her siblings were the love of her life.
Lola died from complications, from a stroke at the Hospice Center in Defiance. She was 79 years old. Lola was welcomed to her heavenly reward Sept. 21, in the arms of Jesus. Lola's favorite color was purple. Lilacs were her favorite flower. Lola loved angels. She had a cornice full of angel figurines in her living room.
Lola loved to plunk on her piano. She loved to hear her grand kids make music. Amazing Grace was Lola's favorite song. The last two years Lola lived at Kingsbury Place where she made many friends.
She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church at Marysdale and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She married of Robert A. Boff July 9, 1955 and he died July 18, 2002.
Lola had worked at the Arnold Haviland Co. and was a homemaker.
She will be greatly missed by
Daughters: Teresa (Terry) Johnson of Wauseon, Susan (Ron) Clinger of Defiance, Margaret (Paul) Chamberlain of Minneapolis, Mn., Mary (Richard) Rose of Defiance
Sons: Tony (KR Glickman) Boff of Beverly, Mass., Robert (Colleen) Boff of Perrysburg, Oh.
Sister: Mary Rose Haley of Beavercreek, Oh.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, a sister Ruth Davis, two brothers Robert Koenn and John Koenn and a grandson Paul Rose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Isidore Catholic Church Marysdale, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th, with Father Robert Kill officiating.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Burial will be in Marysdale Cemetery.
