Lois Ann Lloyd, 73, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center, Defiance, OH.

She was born on February 14, 1942 to John  and Mabel  (Miller) Markley in Defiance, OH.  On February 10, 1978 she married James Lloyd, who survives.

She was a member of Life member of VFW Post 3360 Ladies Auxillary and Amvets Post 1991 Ladies Auxillary, and a member of Eagles Aerie 372.  Lois worked at the VFW Post 3360 for 17 years retiring in April, 2005..

Lois is survived by her loving husband, James R. Lloyd of Defiance, OH, sons, David (Patricia) Kirk, and James Kirk, step-daughters, Laurie (Dan) Wilhelm, and Pamela Hanson, and 7 Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harold Markley, sisters, Katie Carlisle, Mary Keller, Doris Markley, Louise Markley, and Florence Planson.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2015, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Father John Stites, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center.
