Lisa Elsa (Forren) Blackhurst, 88, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday night, December 25, 2013 at the Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance, Ohio. She was born August 18, 1925 in Ansted, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Luther Forren and Minnie (Rutherford) Forren. Lisa had a lifelong career in Restaurant and Hospitality Management. She retired from Lazarus Department Store after 13 1/2 years of service. She also served as the chaperon for the 1958-1959 Mrs. America, Helen DeGreen. She was a former resident of Indianapolis, Chicago, and Charleston, Wert Virginia. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Those in Defiance are Shirley Schlosser, Helen Reineke and Tanya Brunner. There will be no visitation. Private services will be at a later date.
