Lindsay K. Newman, age 41 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on January 26, 1982 to Wayne and Cindy (Eitniear) Newman in Defiance, Ohio. Lindsay was a 2000 graduate of Defiance High School. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, pontoon boat rides, and motorcycle rides with her father. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Lindsay is survived by her parents, Wayne and Cindy Newman, sons, Austin (Sydney Roehrig) Hilvers and Gavin (Hannah Krontz) Reid, brothers, Lance (Kendra Azbell) and Brent Newman, her grandson, Hudson Hilvers, all of Defiance, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Nancy Eitniear and Ralph and Dorothy Newman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Lindsay will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
