Linda J.  Mullen, 72, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 3, 2019 at The Laurels of Defiance. She was born on December 20, 1946 to the late Glenn and Helen (Adams) Cleaves in Defiance, Ohio. On December 26, 1976 she married Orval L. Mullen, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1988.

Linda was a member of Ayersville United Methodist Church. She received her Master's Degree, and taught Math and Science at Auglaize-Brown Township Schools, which later became Oakwood School. Linda worked at National Bank of Defiance in bank operations, and as a bookkeeper for Nelson & Bob's Auto Care for over 22 years, retiring in 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Orval Mullen.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Ayersville United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Rev. Maurice Dunn officiating. Burial will be held at Riverview Memory Gardens. Schaffer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
